USX drivers...how's your day??

Too bad I'm still in training, I'd be all over that to make some good cash. Look at it as extra money for Christmas shopping for my kids LOL.

 

Well we got a load from Modesto CA to York Pa. Picked it up at 0900 Monday morning. Doesn't deliver until Saturday in York. Way to much time to even think about sitting with this one. So we're gonna drop it in Springfield so we can FINALLY get to Zanesville. Halfway through Wyoming early today after not having DT service since leaving CA we get a message saying to drop in SLC. Well we were a long ways past salt lake. And at the time I wasn't sure if they meant salt lake since it didn't say "UT" after SLC. So I call fleet management line hoping to not get Jeff jones. As luck would have it I did. I tell him I don't understand the message and to please explain. He said in his usual snotty tone "well it clearly says to drop in salt lake city". I said well no it says SLC and you guys have so many acronyms I wasn't just going to take a wild guess. I then tell him we are already a long ways past SLC so he tells me well then I guess you'll just keep going then.(not that I was going to turn around anyways lol). So I then ask for a drop number for Springfield so we can get to Zanesville. He says "ya well I'll get to that when I get around to it I have way bigger priorities right now". Wow. I know it must be SOOO difficult to get a simple little number! That pissed me off so I said fine and we both hung up. Night time FM can't get me a drop number since its more than 150 miles from delivery but he suggested to go above J Jones and go to his superior and get the drop number in the morning. I told him I certainly will as well as sending a message to max about J Jones and his pathetic excuse of an attitude and demeanor towards drivers. I'm done messing with this guy. Night time FM even tells me he has heard over and over again complaints on J Jones behalf. Surprise surprise?

Will update everyone on how I end up with getting someone to listen to me about this guy. Anyone know if he works in the Springfield terminal? I think he does but not sure. Might have to drop in for a little face to face convo and meet his boss

 

Anyone know what the story is with the sudden influx of trucks in Gas City, IN?

 

New dedicated route for Walmart they just set up. They are advertising the route over the DT and Facebook.

 

It would be nice to know where all the FM's work. we could tell them good job when they do preform above and beyond and also offer negative feed back when needed. It would be nice to put a face with the person on the other end of the phone line,,,, if you ever can get through.

 

I wonder if Werner lost it or if they just added some new lanes? I'll tell you US ain't off to a good start with the people in the community.

 

Not sure about Werner. Why what has US done to the community? I know you have to live within so many miles to that acct and US is offering a sign on bonus to relocate there.

 

There parking bobtails everywhere. And not in spots just where ever. There driving very aggressively thru town. I had a day cab blow my doors off the other morning going id imagine 65 in a 55 thru a intersection. There is a set of bad RR tracks as you come into town that both sides are now riddled with skid marks from duals being locked up. There's signs everywhere saying the tracks are bad but they wait till there on top of them then try and slow down. Could this be from others? Sure but they weren't there until recently.

I'm a driver same as you and them but it's this kinda behavior that gets all of us a bad name. And the locals have been alerting the authorities that's how they affect the community.
