Holly cow!
do you see the number of loads out there?!! I'm talking about dry van. Time for rates to go way up! let's see supply and demand at it's best.
Don't forget, it's the end of the quarter, and also the labor day weekend. Companies want to move their freight, charge your highest!
LOADS!!

I like your line of thought carwreck. that is supply and demand in action! I will graduate cdl school at a local CC in Dec. Trying to decide on O/O or company. I realize company, for the first year, is a wise choice. I need to learn the business. Currently I own and operate a contracting business, but need a career change.
I am confident there is money to be made in O/O if I buy a tractor for $30k to $35K. I do not have any interest in Lease programs. Keep on trucking. I wish you well. -
Do not settle folks! Somebody will take your truck for the rate you're asking so stay patient and just say NO to CHEAP freight!!!
-
Thank you! This isn't an easy business, that's something you will find out. You sound like an intelligent person and hope you will pick things up rather quickly. Driving a truck is tough enough, and running a trucking company in this day and age is much tougher. Keep on educating yourself before you take the step and when you do, do it at the right time.
I wish you the best of luck. -
Thats very good news!! I've been on a personal vacation this month and will hit the road after the holiday. Now I gotta hit it hard to make enough money to comply with all the new reqs for the carb.

Last week has seen a trend up for sure. It was my busiest week in the 4 months I've been driving. I had 6 loads over the last 7 days (Saturday and Sunday included), roughly $6K to the truck on 2800 miles. While volume is there, rates haven't seen a big uptick yet. And every load that I hauled this week was 1-2 days behind schedule according to the receivers. The pressure is now on the brokers, and hopefully they will see the need to force their clients to pay a fair rate to get their loads moved.
-
A lot of those loads are the same load posted by different brokers.
ACME products emails brokers the loads needing to be shipped that day every morning.
ACME's email list includes:
Fly-by-night logistics, Wekeep80% tranportation svcs., Chameleon brokerage Inc., and Workinmyundiesfromhome Logistics.
Today ACME has one load that ships from Chicago to Mesa.
Each broker posts the load on the public boards as their own load.
You see four loads from Chicago to Mesa.
Any questions?
