Gotta find a trainer company.. Rochester is a little out of the 'hiring area' for Mav and TMC.. It's bad timing too.. Things are on the shrink lately.
Look for a local company and keep pestering the daylights out of 'em..
Some of the Van companies have a flat divisions too. Check that out... Pay your dues, keep your nose clean etc.. Best of luck! -
Western Express hires newbies for flatbed an plenty of work your way check there page. They hired me an i have two felonys

Roehl looking for flatbed drivers

That really sucks that the plow company wrote you up for denting your bumper, and they used to not issue at fault for swerving to miss deer, now they say hit the deer. You could check with Buchanan Hauling and Rigging, you will have to plead your case and covince them you are worth taking a chance on and maybe even start out pulling van until they get an opening in securement training. you could also check with BigBadBill on this forum, his company has securement training I'm just not sure if he has a company truck available for you or is just looking for owner/operators right now.

thanks guys i really don't want to work for swift to much drama and horror for me to get in and not like it. my past is still sticking with me been clean for 6 months but don't want to risk the hair test roehl gives and screw up my DAC idk maybe ill just have to get stuck pullin reefer for a few months then jump over to melton. my goal is to end up heavy haul lowboy or stepdeck but i also know i have to pay my dues till any of that is in my future. thanks again keep em spinning and as always

I leave next week for orientation next week for flatbed, my buddy worked their for seven. doing flatbed he loved it, what he did tell me is they treat their van drivers like #### an they dont get much respect, he said he would not recommed dryvan to anybody. far as flatbed i here they are a good starter company with plenty of mile pays not great but its averages to about whats expected from a new driver... -
I cheated getting into flatbed by knowing the right person. I will tell you there is a big difference between the big flatbed companies and the ones like I am with. I see Mav and TMC ect going 62-65 miles an hour even swift (Ha). If you ever get a chance to hook up with a smaller company that has contracts in the more "construction" fields jump on it. We run jersey walls (hiway construction barricades) lumber, prefab building pieces (big ones) ect. We drive big boy trucks and run! PM me and I'll give you the down low. Maybe talk on the phone. Flatbed is cool but can be hard.
jerryy123 Thanks this.
