question about c-15 engine in a 2007 Freightliner Century

    Certainly not like the Cats of the 90's. But I bought a 06 KW used with 300k miles on it. Didn't have any problems till 600k head issues. Decided to do it right with complete inframe, new turbos, etc. 20k price through Cat with 4yr unlimited mileagewarranty. Have put 100k on it with no issues. Fuel mileage 6.5 with 30k-46k in box. 6.8 to 7.2 with less than 30k in box.

    CAT's are good, but when it breaksdown, your wallet loses a lot of weight...

    Does it have a dpf or not? I know the truck i drive ( not a cat) is an 07 but came without a dpf. Hopefully it doesnt, cause thats another system to go wrong.

    The Century or Columbia with C 15 is not the best for a good mpg,KW with c 15 runs better for a good mpg,i drive Columbia with C 13 iam happy with my mpg everytime up 6 to close to 8 with lighload @68 SPEED
