Our Fleet Manager is Eric in Fleet 20 and I WILL NEVER get rid of him, he was been trying to get us a new truck since last time, The guy who does truck assignment told him that because the truck hasn't broke down for the same thing, that it's not high on the list. Also he told Eric that they're gonna be getting rid of all the internationals. He has been the BEST fleet manager we've ever had.

If they are planning on getting rid of all the internationals they had some in display as well as freightliner cascadea, peterbilt 587, kw 680 which was my favorite and Volvo 780
Kw660 and a couple other. As far as fleet mgrs I feel the same about my FM Ray on fleet 11. If they tried to switch me is go to another company. I just don't think its fair you have been broke down 22+ days in less than 2 months. $60.00 a day is nothing compared to rolling.

We had that on our Pete after putting 1200 miles on it. Sat all day at the Peterbilt dealership in Fontana just to be told it is a normal thing, its just the oil expanding due to excessive heat. They said its all ok as long there is at least little bit of oil inside. They filled it back up and leaked almost all of it by the time we made it to the east coast but has stayed above the small empty line. So no problems.

Have been told all solo's will be running around 2,200-2,300 miles/week, which was confirmed by my FM. Upon hearing the news would make it sound like the whole entire TL side is going regional, it would be better for all of us to be home more often if we are going to be running regional runs from now on. Staying out for long periods of time, and only running this amount of miles really does not pay off for the TL side. Firmly believe, if we are going to be out for long periods of time, should we at least get the average, which is 2,500 miles/week. After all, would that not be fair. Who is responsible for dropping the miles/week? Why is it a secret? Just be honest with your drivers. Just saying. Also, I have requested interest in running regional, but I have not heard anything about it. Thinking about calling tomorrow, and ask to be on regional. If I am only going to be running this average per week, at least I can do my restarts at home, and spend time with my wife and daughter. My daughter is growing up so fast, and I want to be a part of that.

I agree with you 100% but as for miles I've been averageing around 2750 miles. When there's only a couple days left like Thur and I'm only sitting on low miles I call and say what's the deal. I usually get a 1000 mile plus run. If I get the weekend crew and they say freight is slow then I saw send me home till you can find me something. But that has only happened once when I first started. Nut if I do have a bad week them the following week I get 3000+ but it all really depends on you and your FM.
