And those who are not on a QC system never get tired....never try to make just "one more run"....never eff up....sure. There has to be some kind of "checks and balance" to control fatigue, but one solution will never work for all.
Look, I'm not saying it's perfect. But if anyone wants to believe that QC is the do-all evil here, they're dreaming. Yes, the gooberment is trying to micromanage us. They (or large corporate entities) are trying to micromanage EVERY flippin' thing in their respective industries. Why? Because with this wonderful, fool-proof technology, they simply CAN.
I posted in another thread about accounting for every nut, bolt, peanut, Q-Tip, pencil...whatever the given situation is. It's being done because it can be. Forget about common sense. If the computer says it, it's law. No argument.
We are going to technology ourselves right out of existence.

FWIW I have ran paper and electronic, and I am incredibly thankful for elogs. I still maintain that false logs are illegal and unethical, if you don't like the rules there is an entire system in place to change them, it doesn't give you the right to break the law.48Packard Thanks this. -
See being legal isn't his argument cus he believes he's legal as long as his paper looks good. He swears this system makes u drive non stop, doesn't allow restroom breaks, and makes you drive bad cus its a ticking clock. If you run out of hours it makes you sleep on the side of the road in BFE. And according to him, every single CMV accident is solely the fault of the evil stupid box... Funny thing Is... He has absolute no experience with them... All truckstop hearsay.
I've been on elogs for a year and I cannot recall anytime that I couldn't make it home or ran tired because of it. Ive been pressed for time because of delivery appts, not HOS. Not a single time. I drive until times up ( due to proper trip planning I usually sleep at my customers because I know who allows parking) or I choose the closest truckstop. If I can't legally make it, I.send a message and give my best ETA and they either reschedule or repower it. Simple as that. -

They can't speed on the highway so they have to get their speeding done in the low speed zones to make up time from those cut-back, under-powered fleet trucks.
And why do we assume he had loved ones? Might've been one nasty MF-er that everyone hated!
Just sayin'... -
you assume too much. -
i've talked to more drivers that hate the thing then like it.
and the only people i can find that like it. are the posters on this websight. -

Seems you change your story more than most people. Kind of like a troll.
Your first post blames the EOBR and now you claim another reason.
