TMC: I talk to my recruiter "Guss" and he said Hazmat is required?

They want you to obtain it. I forgot the timeframe. 30 60 days, somewhere around there.

Not hard to get in my opinion. If you can get hired and pass all their checks, should be good to go. For most people I guess the money is an issue. They`ll work with you, just let them know you`re working on it if you work for them, you`re FM should give you time.

Is it worth it? ehhhh sometimes

Twic is a pain, due to locations
One of them in Houston has trk parking, There may be other locations with trk parking.

Just work with FM on getting load near location, get empty, pop over, git-r-done, go grab next load

Once again, more a money issue than anything.

 

What's it like trying to get one and how do you do that?

 

hazmat, passport and twic are encouraged-but not required. they even re-did the point system to reflect this. The old system required all 3 to get the points. Now, you can have none or (like me) 2 ect and get the points for what you do have.
