I tell young, single guys all the time to go into trucking. Save your money Maybe take some online classes in your off time. Get to see the country. It's not all bad. As for me, it can get tough with a wife and four kids. But we deal with it. I worked in an office for a few months when I broke my back. I swore I'd never do that again. I love the sunshine too much.

It is very much a good job, if you can handle the stress that is.
Trucking isn't easy like most think. -
Not only would it be what you make of it, but having a passion for driving, and truly dig the idea of driving an 18 wheeler, that'll go a long way. If you're just broke, and looking for work, you mostly likely will not enjoy trucking.

I became a trucker because I can't stand hearing the same thing everyday...
"GET THAT FILE FILED, SORT THESE REPORTS, SIGHN THIS, DO THAT BLAH BLAH BLAH."
I had enough and just walked away, Monday I left work early, Tuesday I didn't show up. -

My job in encorpera paid well, but I had to kiss ### constantly and pretend to like people I hated all day.
Office Space and The Office were not far off. They were documentaries.
If you want to come home from work every day feeling like your soul has been destroyed just a little bit more, work in corporate America.
The money is not worth the misery. Nothing get's done. You just look good, sound good, pretend you're busy and stay off the radar screen.
