Why do you think I quit using duallies and now run a Pete pulling the same trailer, I got 9-10 mpg with the Ford and I average 7.5-8 with the Pete, plus I have a sleeper, better brakes and more power. Plus , I could sell my Pete right now for the same money I paid for it 3 years ago, try doing that with a dually.......

To be honest, I think a lot of people are afraid to jump into a semi right out of the box, we used to run a bunch of duallies in my other company (Peterson Transport Inc.), BUT not because we wanted to, but because the RV company we were house carrier for wanted only pickups.

I think a lot of people figure that IF they can't make it in trucking they still have a p/u truck to use, if your not in trucking a semi doesn't work very well.
