Hey y'all I got to get some maintenance done on my truck. Thinking Irving. Are they pretty quick like a day or so I don't want them to change trucks on me. Ideas???

My trainers home terminal was Irving and he would not
use them. He would get work done at Tunnel hill.

Ok my next question. I am still kinda a newbie I have had my CDL since dec and I have been driving for about 6 months now. However with winter approaching I am beginning to FREAK OUT why?? Well I am petrified to drive a big truck in the snow and CHAINS omg don't even mention those. My question is for y'all who have been with USX a while do you know if the newer drivers stay more south in the winter??? Or do they just throw you to the wolves and hope that you don't crash?

I think most importantly, you are not required to chain with USX. If you feel it is unsafe you stop the truck and send a message. My personal rule is ....I will chain to get out of trouble but never to get into it.

That said, they will not take your experience into what load they give you. I have also called and gotten rerouted around major storms. For example I-40 instead of I-70 through the Rockies when a storm is forecast

    Been a Fantastic day...
The load we have now delivers in the morning and we are already here next to the WHSE.. We originally had a PP for a load that picked up not too far from here at 22:00 tomorrow. That would mean 24hrs with no miles but,,,, that PP was taken off of us a few hours ago and we were given a PP that picks up at 10:30 so, as soon as we get unloaded in the early morning, we will be heading the 300 miles to pickup next load and off to CA again..

We have never been rerouted when a storm was forcasted.... I will not chain, to me that is just stupid but I agree Craig, if I get into an area that requires chains to get out, I will than chain...LOL

We are new and ran I-80 last winter. Chained up once to keep rolling. No big deal. The road crews take great pains to keep the roads open as much as possible. As always you are in charge, if you think it is unsafe...STOP!!!
