First of all I think the guy that works for the moving traffic cones has no idea about oilfield or trucking. First of all if I worked for you guys I would go broke. When I was driving pneumatics here in tx I would take anywhere from 2000 to 3000 dollars a week home and no I was working my ### off because in sand hauling we did not use DAY CABS. Second of all i don't drive anymore I work for a Oil and Gas company and I find our transportation. I would never hire you guys because I would not want you to kill one of my guys or mess up one of our wells. Learn how to drive first and then I'll teach you how we do it in the Eagle Ford. This is not trucking it's oilfield there is no home every night. Go pull a dry Van.

about every drybottom I will be able to find will either be a problem case or worse, the ones that are really decent put all the ($) in equipment with nothing left for the driver who like the one I spoke to in the backyard at Paige Food & Gift Mart3863 Highway 290 E, Paige, TX and I expect same at Whoop Stop, 2802 Highway 21 E, Paige, TX will tell me they are making not what it takes .... I have hauled plenty of tractors + rocksaws and as well operated equipment extensively over a 100,000 hour career so I passed my driving with a 92 with only one or two hours in the particular truck I was in .....
I am wanting to go to the Key Energy site and do the "online" job-seeker registration as that operation has gone from office to all-over between 2008 & now ...... but the online registration will be hard for me to use & I am writing computer-code to do all the work history and everything so that the parser will pick it up like it should ..... spare me the things you are moaning about as we want them neither on this thread but how exactly but since you are ->{ "work for a Oil and Gas company and I find our transportation" }<- tell us who actually have some time of some kind in industrial and would like to get trained by a real operator rather than a "trucking school" how exactly you would want the "resume" formatted .....
I have better things to do with my time than translate office into something that will work and will actually be of use ... I did such for Nabors and have Petey Lozano's number on my dialer but it is rare or difficult finding companies who will acknowledge that it is actualization of experience under test in the yard rather than insurance company idea of how it should be as being important and of consequence as was confirmed by the vacuum truck operation SHALE TANK TRUCK (superior industries) @28.909396,-97.935538 2.9 miles north of Karnes City

So what are you talking about? You want to learn or you just rambling
-
If want to learn what it takes I don't have a problem teaching have done it plenty of times but until some of these newbies stop thinking that it's just putting sand in a box a know what's on the other side of it. They will get turned down all the time respect the industry cause it's not trucking it's oil field two different things.
gdyupgal Thanks this. -
I been around for awhile, I realize it is hard, looking for work.....
-
...I don't have any idea what is going on in the last five replies.
-
talking about expertise that only is gained by thousands of hours of operation vs not having a lot of time doing actual work
the issues can be very hard to grasp for anyone under 10,000 hours of field-ops, he is sorta crowding me ..... he is saying am I just running my mouth or do I intend to accomplish real work that requires expertise .....
when RD gets back to the yard from 6-10 days running he may have a simpler explanation for you -
Sorry to bust your bubble Dirtman, but I work in the oil field and I am home EVERY night. So are all the drivers in my yard, the pulling unit I work with, and the Company Man I work for.AC22 and nicholas_jordan Thank this.

I work on the Victoria account for Schneider and don't personally know rockdoctor or what he thinks about this mess down here. I did hear about some personal matters going on in his life as one of his relatives has some health issues and I know he recently took time away from work. Doesn't matter as these days we all here have plenty of time to waste on this account in Victoria!
The energy account with Schneider in Victoria is a train wreck. Do yourself a favor and do not attempt to work for Schneider on any energy account. I hear most are failing or not living up to the client's expectations. I hear some of the accounts are working the drivers like a dog for very little in pay. The management here made some errors and now it is costing the drivers pay and jobs. I have to wonder if Schneider headquarters in Green Bay is even paying attention because if they were they would get down here, terminate the lead manger for this thing and get some real leadership in the position.
There was a top secret conference call today. Let me put this out there for you and you decide if you want to work in Schneider Energy Division. Drivers on this account are being cut from 180 drivers down to as low as 50 by the middle of September. The pay is being cut and going to performance based pay. The drivers will have 24 hours to move about 50 loads of oil with no increase in loads planned. Drivers will only be able to work 5 days then they must be off 2 to 3 days at a time. The bonus program is going away. The account is getting none of the new trucks Schneider had promised. The new tankers that arrived here in Victoria have been sent back and are being sold off. Some of the better trucks on the account are currently being driven to Dallas to be sold off. Drivers can no longer sit in their trucks and idle for A/C in the Texas Summer heat. Drivers have been provided with a 10'x10' ten cover as shade in the yard to protect drivers from heat while staging for hours and one working portapotty for all drivers to share. Drivers may not go to the main office at the front of the yard to use the restroom as that is for management only. Drivers must sit at the yard for 10-12 hours a day in order to get paid even if there is no work to do. Drivers who have a new job lined up and told they are going must pay back any relocation money to Schneider before they leave the company. Drivers will be expected to run old OTR converted chemical tankers to haul the oil in and if they leak it will be the fault of the driver and not blamed on faulty equipment. Some drivers have sabotaged some of the equipment and if a driver gets that equipment and operates it without noticing the sabotage, the sabotage will be credited to the last known driver who operated the equipment. A pipeline is being completed and when it is done the current account will be terminated so management is at red alert looking for new clients.
There are drivers down here who have years of experience OTR and they say they have never seen anything like this. Peoples heads are spinning and their tires are spinning out as they try to get ahead of the next driver and go find themselves a new job! I myself will be hitting the exit door here very soon!

nicholas_jordan Thanks this.
