If you have a food service company in the area try them. I worked in that for over 25 years with 2 companies. The work schedule is often run three to four routes a week and home every nite for the most part, unless you run layover trips then its usually only two trips a week. The pay varies from company to company but you can expect great pay 50k to 70k , there is a price though...the work is HARD...you are walking behind a hand -truck and dealing with small lots, parked cars and customers that are always in a big rush for you to get the truck off the lot. But if you want your wife at home raising your kids and want to sleep in your bed at night you might have some give and take. Like I said it worked for me. We have 2 grown sons out of college doing well and I'm retired now at 55. Good luck!

congrats on the little one. Depends on your location but theirs no need to live in a truck for 4 weeks at a time unless you live somewhere really strange. Check con-way and fed-ex as they have driver training programs and good pay and its local work. Might work the dock more than drive but thats much better than living in a truck. Good luck

I did neglect to mention I only have 6 months RECENT experience
so a newbie with 15 years of driving would be more accurate
so as a returning driver most wont get more money then that
but yes some will and some will work for half that

Sorry for the delay. I live in southern central indiana. Thanks for all the congrats on the baby boy and the replies seems very doable from your guy's opinions. There are lots of coal mines in area so I think that is the best route to take.
