No, my background is clean. I even asked my Driver Agent about it and he said it was all good. He said the message he got was; "No additional sponsorships available at this time. Have applicant re-apply in 90 days." Yet I was told a month ago I had already secured sponsorships from 2 separate companies and needed to choose which I wanted. When I brought that up he said, "I know Hun but it wasn't on paper until all of your background checks came back and all the available slots filled up while we waited. They didn't turn you down, they will probably take you at a later date so keep trying."
In any case, like most people, I need some income as soon as possible. I have some student loans coming due soon from a previous school for another trade and have zero income at the moment. I can't even afford the gas to drive to a school further than 2 hours away since I have to beg friends for help just to get there. -
Hi Bubba & Brenda. This is what I got from the Millis website:
- Low cost high quality training
- Schooling cost $2500.00
- Up-front cost to approved applicants $500.00
- Financing of up to $2000.00 for approved applicants through Millis Transfer Inc
It's that pesky $500 that causes an issue for me. Otherwise, I would LOVE to go there. I used to run volunteer for Trenton Rescue Squad in the 90s so I know right where that is
Maybe I'll contact them and see if they'll take installments for that up-front cost then allow me to start once it's all paid. Kind of like a lay-away plan, lol. Thanks for your recommendations.

Ah, OK. Maybe my Driver Agent at Drivers Solutions wasn't "in the know" as to exactly where the background check came from. He just referred to it as "[my] county sheriff". If its FBI that's OK too, I have tarmac clearance for an International Airport which uses similar TSA guidelines in determining candidate risk. I've never been in any kind of trouble and have a few Presidential Service Awards from George Bush so I'm pretty sure there's nothing to worry about there.

Hey Fergie, if you need quick cash, you might look at a temp agency for work. Of ANY kind.
