I just want to get some data going on a bunch of locations and providers. I have Sprint 4G. When it's good, it's very very good. But I am now beginning to suspect Sprint is capping my download speeds, and that ticks me off because the only reason I chose Sprint was for unlimited downloads.
It will be interesting to see what speeds I get with Sprint 4G when I get to the same places as those with Verizon. -
Goodland, KS
Sprint 3G (no 4G service)
132ms ping
0.90Mb/s down
0.45Mb/s up -
i don't think there's throttling going on.
could be other factors. like how long you are using the internet. cuz phones tend to get hot and slow things down.
course, if your using more then 10 gigs. then i could see some throttling maybe. but i have yet to hear anyone complain.
i had a websight on my pc once. i would tether my laptop and connect to that websight on my pc which was using home internet. had no problems downloading a 5 gig movie. but what was 3 years ago.dannythetrucker Thanks this. -
Check all your running apps and check the frequency that certain items sync . That has a huge impact on speed and battery life

3g is pretty good...just wait till you end up taking a '10' in a 1x area by 'accident'.

It will probably be like the kind of service I get at home...
