    considering all the health issues and quality of life involed in trucking its just not worth it! no home time! etc.etc.

    Yup, listen to the president of the supply chain group last Thursday in Chicago and he said "We are proud that we are the largest carrier with no direct freight". That got a good laugh our of the room. What made it really funny is he runs the largest direct bid board in the country that LS purchased several years ago.

    We hosted a party afterwards and laughing with a large LS agent about the comment. His point that I hadn't thought about was because the carrier has no freight the drivers never feel pressured that if they don't cover a load they may be punished and have to sit. And when you look at O/O driver satisfaction the control factor is one of the largest issues. LS put the control back in the drivers hands and they place that as one of the top reasons for driver satisfaction.

    absolutely not true.

    Quality of life and your health and what you make of them. No hometime, well thats trucking. But this year I have been home alot, by choice.

    dont take this wrong! I dont no any ich tuckers! Flatbed rates suck now! You get by in trucking thats about it!

    BEEN DOING THIS 8 YRS NOW! I PAY MY BILLS! BUT SACRICE A LIFE. ONE WAY OR THE OTHER!
