Different recruiters work for different divisions, so your best bet is just to apply online, for that position that you want. That way, the recruiter that contacts you will be from that proper division. I applied for 48 OTR Dry van and my recruiter is out of Gary. I don't know if it is SNI policy or what, but basically, this guy wouldn't really talk to me/tell me anything for sure, until I get my CDL.

What he said is "I can't offer you a job, until you have your CDL" (Which is actually kind of a positive, in retrospect) I told him, "I wasn't asking for you to make a job offer, I just wanted to hear from you, to confirm that you got my app, and that I was in consideration" (All this was after I called Nicole up in GB and she jumped all over him)

Strangely, I still don't have my CDL (have to retest on Road next Thursday) and yet, today I got a call from some flunky of his (My recruiter is on vacation) talking about setting up my time for my phone interview for next week, so it looks like things are progressing!

(if you apply, and a long time (more than a week or two) passes and you don't hear from a recruiter, call Nicole Baumgart 1-920-592-6180 and she'll get it straightened out)

Holy ####tt not sure how to reply. All I can say is if been at SNI for 2 years do I get my bonus no but I make up for it by staying running
Routing of course they provide routes and fueling do u have to follow them no. But most are legit routes and fueling points. E logs no problem they days of running the snow man or rubber duck are over. I did it for a long time. I like my elogs I plan accordingly to my trip. I know just about every truck stop and place to park on my trips pays to be out here a very long time. I idle my truck if I want don't care. If you owned a truck company you'd be looking how to make your wallet fatter and not your drivers. This is a businesses SNI has stood the test time hell they'll problaly be here when where gone that's good buisineess practice.

The Gary, Indiana recruiters have heads as empty as the streets and buildings down Broadway Avenue in Gary. Like the tin man in Wizard of Oz, they just go around singing "...if I only had a brain.."

I dropped Schneider from consideration in March 2012 due to the Three Stooges at Gary. In July, a craiglist.org ad directed me to the Green Bay recruiters.

ONLY deal with recruiters in the 920 area code---ONLY! Leave the 219 area code dopes to play zombie actors in a Dawn of the Gary Yard movie.

I haven't sent anything in to anybody yet, but the way I found Schneider was:

I Looked for the major trucking companies in my area. Found 3. Werner, Swift, and Schneider. I'm in PA, Swift requires people to out to TN for training. I said no thanks to the stuff involved with that. According to the Werner website, you need to have a CDL before applying. I'm going to get it, so it was a possibility. Schneider has me sending them information including what school I'm going to before I even start the school. Plus, Schneider has a lot more terminals across the country then Werner (the Harrisburg/Carlisle PA terminal is an hour from me), so I chose Schneider.

Didn't look at anything else. Didn't look at trucks, pay, hours, or anything else.
I assume it will be easier to get in the door with one of the big companies just to gain experience, after a few years gaining experience (and earning back the tuition assistance) I might search out a higher paying job.
