What part are they microbluing in the turbo? Again, they spin on the film of oil, there's no metal to metal contact. I hope they are not polishing the thrust and journal bearings.

If there was no true metal to metal contact in the turbo it would never wear out?
Not polishing anything. Just Microblue treating all bearings where untreated metal to metal does rub and wear out causing turbo failure. -
Only when there's no oil pressure = when starting the engine and also if pushed over it's limits. Coating does not help spooling same way it doesn't reduce rolling resistance in wheel bearings. Only when getting moving from standstill. Might help them last longer though, like is already said.

You are making my point because the tungsten disulfide (MicroBlue) treatment increase the wetting properties on the metal to prevent wear in extreme conditions.

When I picked up my turbo today from Turbo Exchange in Concord, NC, I asked Audre the owner what B/W number it was and he said it was #175963 that was the same as a stage 1 PDI Turbo. The next question I asked him was how much he sales it for.....$1,695!!!!
PDI and PP get $2,450 for the same turbocharger. -
Hey Dice, what are you running for that specific Turbo you bought ?
-
I thought they used moly disulfide, hence the "blue" in microblue. Tungsten is not blue.

I don't understand your question? Do you mean motor or loads or?????
No their website has the information for you on that: http://www.microblueracing.com/low-friction-bearings-technology.html -
Yes. Power wise, file, etc.....

550 hp file that Robsredford changed my ECM on my 3406E Cat. I have a PP Box I run on level 1 unless I don't want to drop a gear on a grade that I click up to 3 or 4 without downshifting. I have alot other mods that I have posted on several threads about.
Here is one of those with some good reading: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...een-wheelers/155448-9-mpg-class-8-5-axel.html
