I'm scheduled to start for Schneider out of green bay wi towards the end of october. All my pre-hire stuff is done, but i had a 'cardiac event' in august and have to wait 60 days to begin for them. my recruiter said its not too late to have someone use me for a referral, but i don't know any schneider drivers up here. anyone interested?
anyone want to split referral on me?

How wise would that be to recommend, ("refer" for compensation), a total stranger to your employer as a good driver, someone that would do a good job and represent the company well?
-
This is a sad day.
-
That is called theft, and is not cool.
-
I don't think it's really us recommending someone as a good driver, just us getting the person to SNI. That said though, split the referral? SNI really said "by all means, find someone (after the fact that you're already pre-hired) to refer you so we can give out some money for no good reason?
*If* I were to refer anybody, even legitimately, I'd not be splitting the $. That said, and this post put aside, welcome aboard! -
Shoot ya know what I never thought about all that. Let's just pretend I never asked, n thanks for the input.

I guess times have changed more than I realized.

IDK, I always split the referral money with someone. If the only reason they were going to drive for the company was the few hundred bucks then I would have a question on it but if they were going to drive for the company anyways then why not if the program was there? I don't know why someone commented that this was theft.
-
Why? He could put it down as a referral and if the company reviewed it and turned it down or approved it that would be their choice as I'm sure they are aware of the situation seeing how the driver must have been cleared by a doctor to drive.

I didn't want to start a controversy here...to be honest it didn't even occur to me until it was mentioned to me by someone at sni. I figured if it was sop I might as well take advantage of it. I'm not a noob...3 years of otr never a late pu or delivery, 7 years of logging before that no tickets or accidents or 'incidents'. Y'all have a good one and again...thanks for the input.
Female Driver Thanks this.
