I completed orientation in Birmingham and now will spend the next week doing load securement training due to having no experience with flatbed. Have some bad news if you are reading this and you have a high BMI (Height and Weight equal BMI), if you do you will be tested by Decker in a couple of ways. First, you will have to wear a pulse ox machine on your finger when you sleep for one night. Depending on the results you may have to have further testing. My test come back normal. However, if it does not you will have to have an further testing for sleep apnea. So once at Decker you have to take their physical. Now I was worried this might affect my employment however it did not. If you fail the pulse ox test you will be given a 90 day med card and then have further testing.

In their defense, I think most of their wall board is pre-tarped. Although that doesn't mean it pays any better.

that's where the training class learns?

Wonder if they charge the delivering driver a lding and shag fee.?

One company where I worked at years ago, had J.D. out of the quad cities.
Then have the tie down class secure the lds..
They also had some you had to tie down when you came to the yard to pick up.

Let me tell y'all a story about ol' John Decker

A nice enough man with a corkscrew ******

Well he searched around and looked a lot

to find a woman with a corkscrew ****

One day he found such a woman but he shot her dead

'cause her corkscrew ***** had a left-hand thread!

He's just as funny in real life. I met him here before I started driving, he worked for the same company I was going to at the time. Super nice guy and I consider him a good friend.
