Hey guys, new to the PGT thread, I came from ROEHL on there flatbed specialized division. I made CPM there and I would stay out for a month at a time. I was fired from there because I hurt my back during some military training and I was off for 2 months. Any ways I signed with PGT and run for a lady out of sandusky oh. and I am a independent contractor for them. I am so happy I made this move, I make more than I did with ROEHL and I am home through out the week and I am always home on weekends. But I also live in Toledo. There is tons of freight to be pulled from Detroit and Cleveland, as well as taking loads down south. I could go on for a while about why I am more happy here than I was with ROEHL but I will keep this simple. I have found a great home and I am working on saving up for my own truck, plus the wife is happy that I am home more and making more money!
Remember a happy wife is a happy life....

What do they pay their o/o
-
I worked for them for 7 months. My departure was a problem between my dispatcher (Adam from Birmingham) and myself. The company itself was a good company to work for. They are just now getting into strict fuel routing. I do have to say I made good money with them.
They take pretty good care of their equipment as long as you let them know there is something wrong. They are VERY strict about tire care. I had a tire that passed a level 1 inspection and then was yelled at 2 days later for not getting it changed sooner by the company.
But, over all, they are a good company to work for. I averaged between 200.00 and 250.00 a day in pay. I was home most weekends, but barely for a reset. in my 7 months, I pulled a couple of over sized loads and only 1 load that wasn't some sort of steel. After talking to MANY happy lease drivers, I was going to sign up for leasing, but there was a 6 month waiting list.
Most of their trucks are older 9400 regional cabs (NO SPACE) which sucked for me being a big guy, but it was very very dependable and I prefer dependable over comfortable. However, the newer Prostars are regular midroof cabs.
As for the guy above asking about O/O pay. 75% (I think more if you bring your own trailer) and you have 180.00 a week trailer rental. And if you live in PA, you can get on the dedicated pipe loads that pay very very well.
If they would have allowed me to switch home terminals, I would probably still be there. I miss the money.OttMan Thanks this. -
what trucks do they have? looks like internationals

Hi There: I am a student at Roadmaster in Indiana now and am changing careers. After reading this post I am going to try and get on here. Rockfish is a great salesman for this company. I talked to Phil at recruiting and he seemed interested. I was leaning toward TMC but it is just a big cattle call for them. I have had 1 job in my life and would like to have just 1 more. I have read so many negative things about trucking on here. I know it is not a cake walk but I am very excited to get going.
Does anyone know how long it takes to get a passport? I do not want to send my ss card off if i will need it to get a job in 8 weeks or so. Take care everyone , hopefully I will get on here. -
nevermind on the passport question. i sent off for it today. All I had to do was send in my expired one
