New to this forum. Just wanted some info/opinions on Calfrac. Just got a call for an interview and was wondering about what kind of company they were?
Thanks in advance for the info. -
well it took nearly 3.5 years but they paid out over 12k to settle my wrongful dismissal case, and at that they were total pricks about it. literally leaving it til monday morning 5 minutes before the judge sat down. signed by the CEO Doug Ramsay himself. posted the pic of the check on my FB 5 minutes after it in my hot little hands. if you get off on the right foot they can be great guys and great company to work for. in 2008 in 11 months i grossed 96k as a n2 pump operator for them
oilfield Thanks this. -
Hi Nitrogen. I admire the courage of your convictions to take a righteous stand. Let us hope that your previous employer and the industry in general has learned from their previous mistakes. People are not expendable. Treat them well, and they will go to the ends of the earth for a company. Kind of like you do right now.
A smaller company like yours can still be mighty progressive. Thinking outside the box, to the point that they had to build a bigger box.oilfield Thanks this. -
yup the oilfield in general takes the philosophy that if you have more than 5 working days in a row off,to just dump fully trained men on the curb for any other company to pick up. since you would never dump a brand new machine on the curb with a free sign(for your competition to pick up) why would you do that to the man who runs that machine. the man that without, the machine won't generate one #### cent of revenue
oilfield Thanks this. -
Yikes. Even the freight hauling world has smartened-up considerably.
How did you discover your current employer? -
Cal Frac is sending quite a few of their people to the USA, as they are not as busy this time of year.
The bright side is that they will send you out to work, even if it is outside our borders. -
Sorry, my question was ambiguous. How did you first come to work with CNS?
