That's news to me and appaerntly my carrier as I just hauled a load of non hazmat chemicals from Delaware to Alabama without the tanker endorsement. My company is anal about regulatory compliance so I doubt they would have dispatched me on that load if it was illegal.

Some of us went Swift because we refused to pay for a school when we already had the license, but not the "recent OTR tractor/trailer experience".

Maybe he doesn't want to stay with swift his whole career? Better to get it all out of the way now if you can if you decide later on you want to do those things.

To the OP, if you stick it for a year and pay back the loan they'll send you a certificate in the mail. Course you don't get that till you pay them back.
