You did NOT really just do that...

 

Got tired of my TND 710 going blank and messing with the power cable so I broke down and bought the TND 720. I must say it's a vast improvement. Established connection with my wireless router in the truck but was always getting the message that there was no Internet connection so I went into the control panel for my router and checked the option to remember this client and viola, success. Now if I can just figure out how to transfer my address book from the 710 to the 720 I'll be all set. As soon as I can find my receipt for the 710, I'll be getting an RMA and get it sent in for repair.

Figured it out already. I copied the address book from the 710 to my desk top then put an underscore in front of the filename in the 720 and copied the file from the desktop into the 720. Success to say the least. BTW, does the 720 come with lifetime map updates? And, is the traffic recvr worth the effort?Thanks again, Doug.

 

hey Mark, do all the 720's in truck stops include the life time maps? Or is there a sticker on it or something. appreciate it man, about to sell the tnd700 to a friend and buy the 720

 

Now if I could get a decent Internet connection here in PA so the update wouldn't take so ###### long.

 

Could be an all nighter with the connection speed I have right now.

 

oh I see, just have to mail the registration card/receipt inn to get the lifetime maps
