You are correct sir, I am not purchasing the fuel, however my Trainer is company and Prime actually routed us that way.

 

Taking I68 kills your fuel economy, diminishing your ability to score a fuel bonus, as well as taking as much as 3 times longer due to the low speeds on those grades. While on the company side I routinely gained permission to divert across I76. The only reason for running I68 is pulling hazmat prohibited in the tunnels on I76 - just food for thought. You may both be company drivers, but its still your trainers truck.

 

Even company drivers are allowed to re-route if a different route makes more sense for various reasons. JCW never had an issue w/ using an alternate route, when it saved the company money one way or another.

IP I have never had to request permission to re-route. I plan my route with the mac 15, mac 27, the map and the gps, then choose the best route. Does your FM make you get permission. First line on the directions always says, "only a recommendation"
