McElroy Truck Lines.....Stay away!!

I've not heard many bad things about McElroy. If your truck had a blown turbo and you turned it in why didn't you call during the week and ask if it had been fixed? What is wrong with you? When your truck is put in the shop for major repairs do this and get a loaner. If they want you to wait on it then call every day and see what the progress is. If you show up then pick it up and test drive it before hitching to a load early in the morning so if they didn't fix it you could get another one. Seriously, I wonder about some of the people on here not using common sense and taking charge of their own job.

 

Overall mcelroy is a good company,but like any company they have thier set backs.If you are not willing to pencil whip the death out of your log book you will not make any money.

 

What's the difference between "flaunting their religion" or flaunting new trucks? Or flaunting paid holidays? Or any other "flaunting"??? I'm really interested in your explanation.

I was seriously considering MTL until reading the OP, & your posts. Forget them!

 

They hire alot of drivers out of Tn. My friend lives up by clarksville he drives for mcelroy too,1300 miles this week.Im going to be lucky if I break 1500.He and I both are looking else where.

 

McElroy turned me down. I asked why and she said she did not know why? Maybe it was a blessing in disguise...

 

I was turned down by a company despite over 20 yrs and 2 million safe miles and the lady I spoke with couldn't tell me why either. She said a committee or board or something met about it and that was that. She was polite, however.

 

Do you still have to go with a trainer for 4 weeks even with experience?

 

Thanks for saying all this. I don't doubt it at all. And I'm sure it's even worse because they are from an area of the country that I am very familiar with.
