Wisconsin Associations and Networking to obtain business

Hey everyone,

New to the board here.

Anyways here is my question.

We started a new trucking company in 2010 in the Milwaukee area, i currently have 7 drivers.

I get all of my business thru brokers currently.

The questions i have are

1. What are the best truck and logistics associations to be be involved with in regards to obtaining business and networking and obtaining meetings
to get contracts with companies?

2. Are going to conferences thru associations worth my time, resources and capital ?

I read a post on here about obtaining contracts earlier, and will apply that advice , who ever brought that up, thank you.

But are their other avenues to explore and which associations or ways of networking would be good to go about doing so.

I agree about secrets and stuff like that

I was just wondering what peoples experiences are with these associations are and if they are worth it or not
