Yeah there was one there when I got issued my first truck. Tim said they were testing them out, it was a red one. I'm sure they are the better ones though.

Got a four stop Tyson load. Plan on leaving the house around 3-4 am tomorrow to pick up in Ottawa, IL. Then headed to Wintersville, OH for Sunday morning. Stops 2-4 are in Baltimore area Monday morning...good times, good times...LOL!

Squeaked back into Mitchell sd, just in time for my 14 hours to dry up, had to search around for a washout since the geniuses at white wave decided to load that pallet for the last drop in front by itself with loose cases of almond milk on top of it, and i think the us 35 bypass in wv just south of the OH line bounced a box off it onto the floor, luckily, it was only one case was damaged and rejected, and they just told me to dispose of it. 3 of the cartons inside were intact, so a quick rinse off and some room-clearing in the fridge took care of that. The bad part of it was the other 3 cartons in the box ruptured, and made for a nice, dark brown slime inside the floor gutters in the trailer.

Looks like ill be dropping this in le mars, then off to dakota city for a 2 stopper in new stanton and abingdon.

The new volvos and the cascadias (and, indeed, that one T680) are all a part of the grand design to try to get out from under Cumminzilla. If I'm right, Volvo engines in the Volvos, DD15s in the Cascadias, and a Cummins in the 680 for a control test to see if the 680 has fuel mileage to it. I don't think we're getting more than a half dozen of the FLs.

Kev- I hope you get out of there soon one way or the other. As far as a Volvo goes, do yourself a favor and don't get your hopes up. If you got an old one, it'd be gone soon, and besides, you'd be trading one Cummins for another. And the new ones...frankly, you'd just have to be stone-cold lucky. A lot of the old timers hung on for dear life in their old Volvos praying for Dave to buy new ones. I started my days once upon a time at CR England, and one thing you have to get used to here is that seniority is really seniority. 20, 25, 30, 35 year guys have earned the right to be selective on their equipment. Granted, everybody's performance on-the-job factors into how high on the list they are for equipment, but next to a guy that's been driving longer than I've been alive, for the same company...I just have to doff my cap and step aside. Getting 840 is a gift, as far as I'm concerned...even if some yayhoo at the KW plant installed the zippers on the sleeper curtains upside down and backwards! :D

My last truck was the volvo 630 with the tiny sleeper, it had the d13 motor in it which pulled great up the hills.

UGG I dislike it when Tim is in Dispatch.......I was supposed to go to Sioux City...Now I have to meet someone in Des Moines to swap trailers so I can go play in ST Louis....grrrrrrrr I was supposed to go to Sioux City then back to the shop for Turbo Work...but evidently this load needs to go to St. Louis like yesterday.....then supposedly Beer back...(great it will pay like ####)....

Really what I dislike is he keeps calling while I am trying to sleep....phones on silent...if he cant get ahold of me he keeps messaging my QC til I wake up....

Got the truck washed today....when I was trading trailers with another driver we noticed that I had a fuel tank open....somebody had siphoned 1/2 of my tank out and made a mess while doing it....so I had to get her washed off....now I am off to ST Louis....yay...
