Hey All,
My name is Mo. A little over four years ago I got a DUI, which was later reduced to a wet and reckless. I kind of lost hope for a while and prolonged making payments to get my license back until recently. I don't know if this will have an effect on this drawn out waiting period. Thank God I went to school and learned about computers so I had something to fall back on while waiting in anticipation of getting back into the trucking scene.
But trucking is all I want to do, its who I am. Currently, I reside in California but was pondering moving to the South, possible mid-west. Does any one know of some solid trucking companies that will give me a shot.

Not right now, too many folks with better records looking. Not to say there are none, but I believe you will have a tough time. Keep looking.Being without a license for years looks kinda bad.

I know. I wish I would have came across this forum sooner. I was under the impression that one was a career ender. I have hope that things will start looking up.

You're going to have to wait for that RD to fall off, at least three years and maybe five. Whatever you do, don't lie as your DL will say RD, but the criminal record the company pulls will tell them you were arrested, and depending on the state, could possibly state the original charge, or if you didn't blow, that will be there as well.

Thanks for the help. Any and all insight on what I'm up against is helpful. Just missing those roads.

To be honest if your looking over the road Is going to be the hardest with a repital company. Its not impossible but very difficult. Try to a local Company would be your easiest to find work. With that being said you shouldn't have put yourself in this situation because you have made your bed for the rest your life with trucking.

I have heard that the companies hauling produce out of the fields are a good place to look if your record has issues.

Thats really only seasonal and no good money in it. But an a option.
