    Hello everybody....

I am looking for a great paying company to become a lease operator with.

Two companies I am considering is Earl Henderson, and or Panther.....(just heard Henderson hauls a lot of beer, and I don't want to haul any alcohol, so I may opt out of all refrigerated etc's)....

I was trying to get on with Prime Inc. but I think I bugged the recruiter too much (I tried 5 months ago, was told get more OTR experience and then I tried with 5 months because the recruiter told me to try back in 6-8 months, I tried to get a jump start on the process etc. she said her supervisor said try back when I have 1 year OTR) ......

Prime Inc. was my choice but I didn't get on, is there any other good paying companies out there, I don't want to do any flatbedding either....

:smt021 Lets analyze this for a second. How much are you currently making as a co. driver ? I highly doubt you will make much more as a lease opr. The truck co. will still have you by the gonads with all their restrictions they place on you and your truck. Re-think it.....that's my advice.

Gross 800 a week..... but the hours I work are ridiculous. Blessed to have a job but working these hours are like being OTR, the rest I need when I come home doesn't allow me to spend quality time with my family except on the weekend.

If I can't find a great paying company that can exceed my current pay, I may just wait until I have a year and can get on with a Prime Inc. or a LandStar....

    Thanks for the feedback....

And you think things will be better at prime ?

They are basically a starter company. Most new drivers leave there within a year.

There are way better places to lease at, if thats your thing.

DONT lease a truck... Drive another 6 months and SAVE and buy your own truck with cash

The reason I said Prime Inc. is because I have a really close friend, like a brother working for them. He seen with his own eyes what his trainer was making weekly and his average take home after taxes was at least 3,000 a week, after all cost.

If there is a better company out there, please list them for me.

    Thanks

This sounds good, I was thinking about this. However, I will have to find an O/O company that is best for me and if they have no sort of fuel surcharge program where I can still make good money. But I was certainly thinking about this.

In fact I just got offline looking for a sweet deal to buy or lease to own my own truck outside of a trucking company.

Some lease programs seem to be worth the lease, but I again thanks for the feedback....

Prime Inc can easily be looked up on their website. If this quote was to me, the real info I have about them is that I have never come across a displeased Independant Contractor, and only 1 company driver who complained that he was going to loose his load if his fuel card didn't work.....but honestly nothing bad about them, just being honest.

    I'm not buying that. :biggrin_25512:

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't believe it for one minute. Granted it's only one person, but I know a guy who just about lost his ### as a Prime lease op. Not saying all Prime leasers are losing money, but average $3k/week? No way.
