At this point your better off NOT learning on a car first. Besides both having 3 pedals and a stick, they're totally different. You don't start out in a car the same way as a truck, and a car doesn't have a clutch brake. Just learn with a truck, and if you should ever have to rent a car with a stick, you'll manage...lol

My father taught me how to drive in 1973 when he came home with a brand new Toyota celica with a 5spd. He bought it during the gas shortage/crisis in the 70's. I wanted a muscle car with a 4spd so it was perfect. He taught me on the celica and i took my first road test in it. When the DMV inspector got in the car he said" Are you sure you want to take your first road test in a man. shift car? " I told him its the only car i have ever driven. Bottom line, truck or car, once you master feeling the friction point in your clutch foot , you got it. dont sweat it.
