What tools should I carry with me on the road? I own my own rig and am just getting into this. I'm thinking along the lines of:
3/8" socket set
100' of air hose
glad hand to air line adapter
air chuck and spare valve cores and core tool
screw driver set
metric and sae end wrenches(up to what size though?)
16 oz. ballpien hammer and 3 pound mini sledge
What else do you all think I need?
Aside from tools, what else should I have?

wire cutters/strippers but connectors, electrical tape

heavy duty jumper cables
zip ties
extra lights
ohhh i know there is more but my brain is giving up -
I carry 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 for socket sets. Wrenches up to 1 1/4. You know there is some big bolts on a truck. Screw drivers, alan wrenches, torx, hammers. If I can't fix it with this stuff it can wait until I get home or I'll take it to a shop if its a safety issue.
NWMAXI Thanks this. -
i've got a tool for everything that i might possibly have to do. every time i'm home, and need to fix on something, i gotta go to the truck to get a tool, cause all thats left in the garage is a couple screw drivers.

jb weld. the putty type in the tube ypu pinch off and kneed into a ball. it works for everything. i have blown air lines. dump the psi, squeeze some jb into the hole and them form a ball all around the line and let dry a half hour. it will get you home. had one i forgot and ran it a year. luckly never got found. it looks.just like a glob of dried grease. lol
i carry all that was mentioned plus a multimeter, test light, certain 3/4" drive sockets. just the main ones. hub nuts, lug nuts etc. pry bars. i also change my belts and hoses when i buy a truck and.put all the old ones in the side box -
jugs of oil and coolant (or water if.not wonter)
fuel filters
