1991- 148 GTL extra channels accessible with various switch positions.
Makes about 15w on AM, 22 on SSB. But in reality in too dumb to know how to use it to its potential.

One piece coax to a 5' fiberglass 1000 Wilson.

Texas Star 350 HD that sits at home and I keep wanting to hook up.

Vertex VHF because in western Canada, CB use is almost non existent.

I've got a couple. One is an old Cobra 29 LTD Classic with the mike jack on the side. Peaked and tuned. I get lots of compliments on it. People think it is a big radio all the time...LOL.. The other is a Connex General HP40W peaked and tuned. It is still new and in the box. Can't seem to find the time to hook it up. Guess you could say I am lazy. I use a Wilson 2000 antenna and RK56 mike.

Been sifting stuff in & out over the past 50 years, but the question said "CB", so.... hmmmm..... have a decent start on a collection of (now) working Royces.... 26 (I think) right now. Favorite daily user is Model 1-641, mint wood veneer, finally got all the "mods" ripped out, restored to stock, recapped the tuna can synthesizer (PITA), couple of bad zeners, dead front end FET. Now sounds nice, and stable on SSB, too. Fun to talk with folks, and when they ask what I'm using, and I end up having to spell the manufacturer's name with phonetics (them young whippersnappers....).....

I almost said the Heathkit CB-1, but even after getting it back to stock, it's still a pitiful performer. Back when this thing was made, a super-regen receiver was great to have, being so sensitive and all. But now, with skip being what it is, it only takes one guy within 2,000 miles to key up and I lose about 1 mHz of bandwidth. <sigh> Naahhh, in 4 years the band will be out, and it'll suck for local stuff again, too :)

Yaesu FT-100; separated with the controls on a RAM mount on the dash, and the main box behind the seat. Antenna is a 102" whip on the bumper fed thru an SGC-237 autotuner. Only mod is the out of band mod on the '100; everything else is stock. I get excellent reports, and can work most everything I hear.

On AM, I have it set so the AGC clips a whistle to 75 watts out or so; I don't care to go replacing finals in this rig... they're not being made anymore!

I just bought a 3300ho. How do you like yours, and where did you get your mods? Some days mine seem to be awesome, and not so much on other days.

What happy meter did you use to see 225 watts? The Silver Eagle 200 amps are only 120 watts...at best.
