    It is a good company in my opinion. They keep the equipment up very well. The company does have some quirks, but so do the rest of them. My biggest complaint is the fact that after hours and especially on weekends you are kind of an orphan out here.

    Loves near Kankakee, Il. I just came off a reset this morning and pulled my load from Topeka, Ks up here to Kankakee. Midday I requested my next preplan via Qualcomm and got no response. So I get up here tonight to the Consignee and again request a preplan via Qualcomm. Almost immediately I get one. Joliet to downtown Chicago and 50,340 according to the Qualcomm. After a few minutes boiling, I sent a message back rejecting the preplan. I expect things will continue downhill from here. OTR is not Metro Local in my book. Way too many low paying garbage loads with this company.

    Home 20 for some R&R.

    xlsdraw, on those crappy loads, ask for enough xtra $$ to make it worth your time and effort. May not work with weekend dispatch, but always worth a try. If they don't/won't come through with the xtra $$, then, yeah, screw those "local" loads.

    I have to say that I usually get enough xtra $$ to make it worth my time and effort.
