StocktonHauler, all I can say is that I do hope you enjoy watching the people of this state starve. Because that is what is going to happen, thanks to scientific THEORY. I am not sticking around to watch it happen.

Hey Yall read this
Why you all vorry about the earth. Read the BIBLE at the and everything will be gone, burned Lord put us here temporarly and we are doing real good job to bringing the End faster. I dont think is up to any of us to change the Facts,Live with it.

Carb is cs-If they wanted full compliance on no idling they would mandate apu's to companies running in their state. As of right now there is no other solution no matter what is in the works.By not forcing everyone to run a separate unit they leave the door open for drivers to bear the brunt of this law and the companies get to force their drivers to live in inhumane conditions.Brings new meaning to old phrase-sweat shop.

There will never be an end to this nonsense that the carb-cummunfornia nazis dictate. Never. They dictate some new emisions BS, then everyone complies thinking "okay, now we're legal". Then, after most carriers run the red tape and spend an enormous amount of money to comply, the CARB NAZIS mandate some new un-atainable load of BS that nobody wants
25 years from now these eco-nazis will probably be mandating the death penalty for anyone caught owning a vehicle with an internal cumbustion engine (with the exception of Caliphornia government 'represenatives and CARB employees, as they are elite)
I think the Kaliphornia eco-nazis have already outlawed 2 stroke outboard boat motors and weed eaters.
Sadly, this nonsense has dick to do with the environment, and everything to do with money and kuntrol. Follow that and you'll know why we have such total government BS killing us, the middle class tax paying American. -
DING-DING-DING!!! WE HAVE A WINNER!!!
Of course it is easier to pick on the individual driver VS the companies.
Global warming may or may not be real. All I know is this has been the coldest summer I have known since 1995 (my experience) on record. We tied or set record lows.
You know what fact got buried? The fact that ethanol produces more green house gases.
I know burning B20 diesel in my Dodge usually yields less MPG. It smells like French fries! Maybe it was a winter blend. It was soy, not corn mix.
Hydrogen is the future. Either in pure or hybrid form. Just in hybrid form older diesels can pass emission testing to the proposed standards!
The oil companies are stalling until they can megaprofit and control it. Bad thing is they can't regulate the sale of water, and the ocean is full of it! -
-
Hmmm... interesting. Too bad you weren't at the meeting where Queen Mary Nichols informed a room full of company owners that the economic impact of such regulations were not any of her concern.
There isn't going to BE any quality of life left here when the government gets done. We have no way to grow our own food, because the Feds took the water, and we can't bring it in because the state banned our trucks. And even if we cold truck it in, no-one is going to have the money to buy it, because without agriculture there will be no jobs here.Last edited: Sep 24, 2009

The manufacturers of the HHO systems claim almost zero emissions with their systems.
Why not install them to get super clean emissions?
Retro fit the older trucks. For $4000 you could have a cleaner running, more efficient truck. -
Google "prius battery manufacturing" plant is in Sudbury, Ontario,Canada, you may want to reconsider strapping this ecological disaster to the back of your truck.
Science and Scientist have also provided us with many things we could live without, mustard gas and H-bombs come to mind. -
Ok, I can't take it any longer..... sure, the earth is warming. Has ever since the last Ice Age, which was the 5th or 6th in earth history. The oceans rising are not a real threat, because the land mass is also has been rising since the ice sheets retreated from them. Once the weight of the Ice sheets was removed the continental land mass has risen over time. Check with any basic college geology 101 text book. The earth will go thru the cycle again and cool. The Jurassic period, overall, had a much more warmer global climate than we have. And one also has to remember that vegetation that we generally attribute to tropical climates, has been found all over the northern hemisphere and in Antarctica. And it is a height of human arrogance to assume we can screw this planet up. It has gone thru plate tectonics, continental drift, solar flares, ice ages, volcanic activity, total magnetic polar reversals, meteoric bombardment, etc , etc, etc. To think a little auto exhaust and some plastic bags are going to screw things up is really out there. People just want to feel like they are really important in the broad scheme of things, so they dream this stuff up. The earth was here long before us, and will be here long after us. The truth is, the planet is doing just fine. We have neither added or taken away from anything that was already a part of the planet. Everything we do will just be reincorporated into the earth. People will eventually pass by the wayside, but the planet will still be here. Well over 95% of the animal species that ever existed on this planet are gone.... and we will be gone to one day. Get over it. We had nothing to do with all these species disappearing, only a few of them. Disregarding and religious beliefs, humanity is not that important in the broad scheme of things in the universe. We just think we are.
Now for the rest of the country doing on emission what CARB is doing, highly unlikely. Most of the country still doesn't do automotive emissions testing of any sort, even though CA has been at this since the early 70's at least, and many areas don't even do general auto inspections for tag purposes. Sure, the OEM's will pile on the emissions stuff for new production trucks, but the odds are in favor of the idea that equipment already out will just be grandfathered in. Much in the same way it is still legit to drive a 1968 Roadrunner with a 440 magnum up and down the road.
But for those that want to be paranoid about such things, then at least do drugs. Then you will have a good reason for your paranoia.Last edited: Sep 18, 2012
