So after completing orientation at Schneider, do they send you back home or would you start working right away?

After orientation of after time with a TE? After orientation is depends, I finished orientation there on a Friday (you are officially hired when you get a driver number). My soon to be TE called and left a message later on that day, I came back to the Fontana terminal and met him the following Wednesday. So I had a nice few days at home after orientation, it depends really.

You're hired after you successfully complete orientation. If you have to go out with a trainer, it will be three weeks until you get a truck. Depending on where you are, they tend to give a the older, high mileage trucks when you first start with them.

They are doing things differently now, if you want to go out right away you can, if you want hometime before you go out, it is not a problem you just have to let them know. You may not be able to get a truck right away if its not there, and if you don't want to go home, they will put you up in the motel until its ready.

At W/S my truck was ready 3 days after the 10 day orientation. Just had to team drive from MT to CA to.get the keys.
