    hey all
I just bought a new kw
there is air ride with hendrickson suspension on it
attached to it is a 30 foot leaf trailer with 2 x 12k axles that is inclined 5 inches forward instead of level
its not riding well its very harsh , Ive tried to reduce the psi in the tires since I do not carry that heavy
the truck does not have an air cab...
if I trade tre trailer for a 48" full air ride, will it be cushier and will it ride better ?

Yes, leaf spring trailers and tractors are very ruff riding. Air ride is the only way to go unless you haul ship/rail containers.

There are several things that you can do to help the ride, first thing first, what are your axle ratings? I'm guessing you have a 10,000 front and a 21,000 rear?

I am also guessing that you are single rear axle?

What is special about containers that you are better off with springs?

i have a 150-160 wb tractor it is very very bouncy and my tires are cupping unevenly, it this normal

I haul a 30 foot leaf suspension flatbed and it is now perfectly leveled !!

You can try that ,it is very cheap to do.
But i doubt you see much improvement.
Do try it,i hope for your sake that i'm wrong.

There is something you can do to your seat.
It is 2 steelplates with a special rubberblock between them.(it is a very flexible rubber, compare it to a giant bungy)
You put it under the seat.
It can be locked in place or you set it loose and it them takes the worst out off the ride.
In it's loose setting it can move forward/backwards about 2 inches.
If you then drive thru a pothole , it will take the first strike out off that.

I cannot tell you were you can find that in North America.
I would suggest you do some searching on the net.

    Let us know what happens,ok?
