I tried to explain this earlier but they all made fun of me. I am proud of the fact that I can dish it out but cannot take it so you big bullies be nice to me.
The first thing you are going to worry about when you get on the road is the pulling into the fuel island move. If it isn't, it should be. The truth is, if you can do that, you can do it all.
If you pull into a fuel island you will see that there are many different slots to chose from. If you want to go into slot 4 and it is on your right and you just pull into it like you do a car slot, you are going to hit the concrete posts for sure. The rear end of you trailer takes the shortest line and will (if the slots are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) head for slot 5. The concrete post are there because they know a newbie or a Swiftee is coming. What you do is pull past slot 4 and start turning for slot 3. Then when the trailer starts turning you head back for slot 4 and your trailer is directly behind your tractor.
This is how all set ups for backing are done. Look at the hole you want to back into. Imagine it to be on the other side of the tractor and set up like you are pulling into the slot. Then just back straight into it.
There, I said it. Make fun of me. You big bullies.

Im confused. Your trying to back into the fuel islands.
Wooly Rhino Thanks this. -
he was using the fuel islands as an example and you would have to image a 180 for backing into a slot.
