Hey Sarge. I'm in NLR going thru the barn and was talking to the guy who just got out of your truck! I was hoping to get you as a Road Instructer next week but he said you weren't going to be available. That sucks if its true!

took me 3 years plus to get on with a local sheriffs department dont give up. helps if you know an officer or two or four. HONESTLY. wish i had gone to cdl school instead of sheriffs department alot less stress but i'd agree with you if you cant be in a truck for at least two weeks at a time, dont go trucking.

 

10-4 sir bretts a cool dude smart too. could have evaled out right after the barn but volunteered to go out with an instructor for a bit o experience. smart man. and yes for the first time since starting with Maverick, wife and i are going on long weekend next week wed--sat. i'm sure whomever you're assigned to will be just fine, if not, let training know and they'll get you someone else. sometimes personalities don't match. even Maverick will tell you if there is a problem, to let them know. I am but one of the many instructors at Maverick. I do my job well trying to do my best to make any and all student that steps on board as successfull as he can be. I give them the tools they need, whether they build a shanty or a mansion with them is their choice. good luck

 

Talked to "Cowboy" while in Gary,he's headed to NLR to become a trainer. Heaven help us lol.

 

Yeah I've been looking for a police job for the past almost three years an cannot get on anywhere. I think a big part of it is because I have bad credit. So when I get to the background I probably wouldn't get hired because of my #### credit score.

 

it most certainly doesn't help. & the smaller the department, the harder it is to get on. Go BIG, get experience then move on

 

You should never forget this, it should ALWAYS be on your mind while you are securing your loads. Having this fear is A GOOD THING, never forget it.
