I just started up as a owner operator and i have been rolling for a while.I pick my loads off of a load board and my ? is would it be better to lock my truck down with a company or should i keep booking my own loads? I have a 2004 freightliner and a 48ft fontain flatbed trailer both are paid for. I feel like im just spining my wheels and not getting the most out of my career. HELP!!

If you are making less than $1000 week after fuel you need to revaluate your business model. I personally do not advocate leasing to a company, but there are plenty of people on here who lease and do very well, and are happy. In my opinion if you dont have the ability to run a sucessful business on your own and need someone to direct you and take control than lease on. And im not saying that people who lease on cannot be sucessful or are not, Im saying you tried it its not working for you let somebody else do the heavy lifting and you sit back and take direction.

If you can't make it on $2.75 mile something is wrong.
