I live in Nj When I go up that way I pick up at one of those two places. I also am a freight broker so I broker for both places but I do not do all of their work, b/c I live in Nj where I have a shipper in which I do everything for. The loads in Maine deliver to Ct,Nj,NYC, & Ma. This is what I do but they ship nation wide. Well almost nation wide. It's palletized work which is nice and isn't overweight which most Maine loads are. Anyone who says there not is getting under paid per 100 weight. I'm not saying the loads will make you rich but it gets me and my trucks out of a bad paying area with something decent. I will give you these loads but I'm a broker so I'm gonna get paid too lol. And I would advise you to find your own acct. And use these as backhauls b/c that's what their for. I would advise you not to buy your own truck. My wife and I have done this for years we try to be honest and upfront with everything which is why she has landed big accounts as well as small ones. When we broker she will tell you what the load pays and what we can afford to pay you. Unfortunately this business has become incredibly cutthroat. I have probably giving too much info out on this forum already about my accounts but it wouldn't be the first time I've had to break somebody's legs in the parking lot cause they think they can cut me out of the loop. But I feel confident in these two smaller ones b/c the shipper of both companies in Maine was my college room mate and long time friend so he'll just tell drivers to get lost. My point is that ppl in this business are horrible. They will stab you in the back for 25$ a load. I'm close to retirement so whatever but if you buy a truck please be careful and don't tell anyone anything about any accounts you land. Be smart and good luck

Thanks for the info.Im looking for loads out of maine with a back haul to maine..Just trying to figure out what to haul and what pays the best.So sick of driving for a company.

If they ship everyday could you get me a backhaul 2 maine everyday if you weren't using the loads as a back haul?
-

Nah. I usually don't get that involved. The only time I put round robins together is for myself or one of my other tractors. Sorry it's a lot of work to find good paying freight that matches everyones time table. Not saying you can't do it but it has taking me years to set myself up like that. It will take you sometime but if u want it bad enough you'll get it going.
