Suppport Thread for the TND 500, TND 700 or future Rand McNally products.

I have a 710 unit. It wasn't used for a while. Now it wont start up. Plugged into home charger till green lite shows but nothing. Call customer support and they told me about the reset but that too hasn't helped.

 

hey i have a 710 and the sound is messed up. It works for a second then just stops. Tried hooking a external speaker up but nothing happening there either. Wondering if its not the speaker but the audio driver that may of been corrupted... somehow... just ran a diagnostics through the dock and did updates to no avail. was wondering if there was a way I can reinstall the audio driver myself. I really cant send this out and then not have it again for who knows how long. last time i sent one in for a broken usb port i was without it for almost 2 months. not your fault, just was never able to get home. Ive been running without sound for almost a month its not a huge issue, the only time i really miss the sound is on my final approach so i can hear what side of the road its on.

 

got a degree in computer sciences from ITT.... so yeah somewhat.

 

On this trade in deal....I have a 710 with a bad usb port that I have an RMA order to send in. Is it possible to upgrade to the 720 when sending in a bad unit? I already bought a 720 as I needed something to use till I got this other one fixed, but it's always nice to have a backup.
