Hello everyone. I have little to no experience and it's a local job. I just called up every company in the yellow pages lol. I just started driving for a paving company. I'm driving a 3-axle dump truck attached with a low boy sometimes (class a) but it doesnt have an inspection sticker. and not sure if it has updated insurance information. should I bother working for them? it has been good experience for one day, but I don't want to jeopardize my CDL for anyone. they rushed me in and everything so I never did a pre-trip inspection........
should I bother?

I believe the trailer insurance "piggybacks" off the power unit. At any rate, do a few more days and then re-evaluate your situation. One day ain't enough.
NWMAXI Thanks this. -

well you have answered your own question havnt you
you might go ask about an inspection sticker before just not showing upNWMAXI Thanks this. -
Did you check the documents that should be in the truck? There may be a document that indicates a valid inspection, but no sticker on the truck. I have a valid inspection document in my truck, but no actual sticker. It's been accepted during two Level 1 inspections, and never had a question about the lack of a sticker.

I do not have any inspection stickers on my truck or trailer. As far as I know there is no regulation to have any, You may get a CVSA sticker when inspected, but I have been the same tractor, pulling the same trailer for three years now and have no sticker, and yes I have been inspected.
Safe miles, and as someone else pointed out, dont make any decesions on the first day of a new job until you really know whats going on...and do a pretrip no matter how rushed you are, start out a little earlier.

dump trucks are usually in very dirty places and a sticker may not hold up, most companies don't put them on, check the documents and ask the office
as for insurance they maynot have alot of them so they may have the insurance piggy backed off all of the trucks so anyone can pull it at any time
check it out,
in WA the local companies like that have a DOT officer inspection once a year on site -
We lease tractors based out of New Jersey, As of this year.. no sticker. this link is the best I have been able to find so far.
