because I am tired of everyone spouting "the rules" and "dress code" and how if you DON'T follow them, you aren't a trucker.
SO be it. I ain't no trucker. I don't care to be a trucker if they are going to be the ##### I here spouting how a driver takes a SAFE speed down a hill so he's not tearing up his equipment or becoming a safety hazard.
I don't want to be a trucker if they are the asswipes that are riding up my wife's tailgate so close she can't even see their headlights in the rearview mirror.
I don't want to be a trucker if they are so arrogant that they think they own the road.
And when I sit and see posts about "the rules" and "dress codes", I see truckers that have no courtesy or courtesy that is lacking.
Be a Trucker not a Wheel holder

No, sorry. This Good Buddy hand holding needs to stop. I need a truck coming over too close like I need another rock chip on my windshield.
A good trucker won't try to pass on a hill and end up stuck alongside another needing to get over and out of the way. This is about the only time I will flash someone over; when they made a good call and it's just a little close. -
Great list, but I think the drivers that need them the most are the ones not on this site.
TRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -
if you hit someones mirror when pulling out of a tight spot things happen own it and stop do the right thing.
i have seen then 11 times this yearallniter Thanks this. -
Yeah hardly anybody does that stuff anymore. It sucks. My favorite is the drag racing when I'm trying to pass a truck that's going slower than I am then he speeds up and I'm governed at 68 AND THEN some ####### who's empty flies up behind me and starts yelling at me on the cb. Wtf?! All I was trying to do was maintain my speed and now I'm the idiot?
And the fuel island thing is really annoying. I always pull ahead after I fuel BEFORE I go inside to do anything. I see people leave their trucks at the pump FOR A HALF AN HOUR all the time. Or how about the guy who won't pick a lane and screws everybody behind him so he can get into the next available.
Its sad really, but our whole society is like that now. It's " hooray for me and #### you!"RALPHMANBEARPONY Thanks this. -
One of the biggest reasons to keep the radio off.
It is not their personal highway. -
I think folks should have their radio on. It's a valuable tool for finding out what's happening on the road ahead of them in a slowdown or whatever might be happening.
Seen enough of it happen and seen enough truckers get into a pissy attitude because they got surprised by something they shouldn't have. -
the bad times in other sectors in the work place have pushed alot of people into trying out in trucking many fail with in weeks of being on the road but companys are still pushing to get that cheap new driver not thinking how much is affecting the rest of us that been doing this for years it has turned into a farming system of getting like Carrkool said steering wheel holders and all to save a buck not hiring expdriver that cost more money end result no respect for our fellow drivers... and making everyone else look bad
