I thought I would continue the tradition and post my own experiences with central refrigerated training. I rode a bus from Louisville, KY to Atlanta, GA to get to the first step of my new career and have to say I'm not a fan of greyhound at all. A warning to all do not stand in front of the Atlanta greyhound terminal my roommate and I stood in the smoking area and were offered just about every drug you could think of in the hour we waited for our shuttle to the hotel. Shuttle driver was very nice as was the hotel staff.

Day one started pretty slow so far but we already lost 4 due to various reasons including my roommate who lied about an assault charge. Finished my security interview and my drug test and am waiting for my physical and work-well test so I'll update more when I'm back to the hotel.

I don't think this is so much a 'Central' thread ... More of a personal experience journal at 'Central'... Everybody's experience is so different, and its good to get different prospectives. At least in my opinion...

    mohawktrucker Thanks this.

Day two and we started class at 7 am. Class seems to be pretty fast paced and the instructor is very informative she doesnt just tell you the right answer she explains in detail why that is the right answer. we took a practice test on general knowledge, air brakes and combination vehicles. I did pretty decent but definetly need to become stronger in air brakes. After the test we watched a defensive driving video and received our homework.

The hotel has a conference room that my fellow students and I have used for study groups so far and we did our homework together to take advantage of our different areas of strength to get us all ready for the permit test.Im loving this experience so far it is very fast but i feel like im learning already and im excited to start my new career.
