What type of anti-virus do you use? I know when I used Norton I would always wind up with a virus. I use microsoft security essentials..and it has truly kept my computer from getting a virus.
-
As many as there are out there (viruses and trojans) it's difficult to avoid some of them. Email has become a prime target (again).
A simple "trick" to avoid items that may be missed my your anti-virus software. Use a second browser with zero add ons. Java Script, audio/video, and active X disabled.
We run MS Explorer and FireFox, depending on what we're doing at the time.
Your AV software...
I've found that most people follow the pack and brand names, and get a total POS.mamamullins and bullhaulerswife Thank this. -
I have removed more "junk" from machines with the so called top rated AV software. I have Eset Nod32 on my desktop pc and have not had any bugs get through for over 3 years.dancnoone Thanks this.

ha ha windows...

Same here. Eset is the ONLY software I'll use. Although they did piss me off with that price increase this year.
-
Price increase? I don't know anything about no stinking price increase!

What kind of increase? -
Was about 30% increase over last year. I use it on 5 computers, even the discount hurt LOL
-
I will have to look into that, mine is up in November...
-
They're offering a discount right now. About $7 if I remember correct. Might want to do it sooner than November.
