I guess they treat everyone different! Because they are a crap load of drivers in the Jacksonville terminal that totally dislikes them, but yet still working for them. When I was working for heartless.

When I was hired in 2011 and in the orientation, I [we] were told NO power inverters or 12v cooking equipment. The only thing that was allowed was a 12v cooler. Also the Mechanics HAD the right to go threw the rig without the drivers permission and if they found these items in the rig, "You will NO LONGER be working for Heartland Express!". That came from the instructor at Jacksonville, Florida Terminal.
This was from the person who worked for the company. I didn't make this up, it was what I and about 8 other drivers were told..Cyanide Thanks this. -
taino is right everything he said no invertors 0 tollerance they said that you will be terminated on the spot.
Cyanide Thanks this. -
i got a road pro cooker and went through the safety lane with it sitting on the passenger seat.... no problem and I still work here!

Just a rumor I heard is it true they don't let you idle your trucks and no apus?Just wondering like I said a rumor I heard
-
No apu but you can idle if it's colder than 52 or hotter than 72. Open vents and a 12v plug in fan satisfy me most the time anyway!
reefer75 Thanks this. -
I drove there for 5 years, 2006-2010 and the pay was less and less each year. It went from $65000 in 2006 to barely over 50,000 in 2010. The company always makes money though.
