Absolutely the honest truth, otr at crete is 1500 to 2300 mi wk, think you can support a family on that, ny roadie , your on a dedicated account that yoU drive a certain amount of miles and know exactly what to expect in paycheck ,otr at crete is 350 mi for 2.5 days and 550 for 3 days, generallyCrete sucks , tony oytergard just hasn't caught up to give you a good screwing yet!

When I worked for them, minimum 1 year "clean" experience required, and NO "TRAINERS" ...

That Crete is now a training company says it all for me.

They are just riding on there reputation from. The past, where they promised good miles and load select dispatch, now . If you refuse to ddo one of. there 350 mi loads. For 3 days , and baby sit there crap . They threaten they'll fire youOf course what does a newbie know? That's how crete likes it , uninformed newbies working for nothing, doing whatever that weasel osretard says

I'm sure the company has changed, most companies probably have, but I am treated fairly here. I've averaged 10600 miles/month for the past year, a little down from last year, but not terrible. I think I could do a lot worse. I think that the short runs have increased a little, but I feel that is most likely industry wide, not just a Crete thing. Just saying, I'm sure it could be better, but could be a lot worse. My checks are always average around $1100/week, and from what I read on here, that's not all bad.

Bowlwinkle , I had also done well in the last year, before I got an asset manager, now I'm given a 364 mi load for. 3 days . And expected not to complain, then the next friday , I get a 550 that delivers on monday morning , I did really good before I got an asset manager , now I have. Gotten laid over every weekend I also have an owner operator friend at crete, that said he got 1500 mi last weekAnd every load is overnite or same day deliveryIf you are happy at crete , that's great, I'm glad you are doing wellAnd hope you have continued good luck there

This is exactly why I left Crete, I started western regional and did not get out of LA for more than a week, just to get out of LA, I called my terminal manager, and said I wanted to go National. Then I got stuck in Paris, Texas for 4 days with no load.

I forgot to add , I got a load out of wichita ks on thursday , delivering on monday in san antonio, the load goes right by my. House, so I spent a day at home, then when I tried to go home for my normally scheduled time off , crete said I couldn't go home. Because I Took a load thru home and took off the day,Do you think this is a company that cares about its people,That is only one example of the new creteI wasted 13 yrs there , anyone want to be treated like a necessary evil then please apply at creteAnd go sit around a truckstop instead of being able to go home

So why didn't you ask to drop the load at you yard in Dallas? I have a friend whos been with Crete for a few years now, and when he knows he's on a load that has plenty of time on it, that goes right by Dallas, he asks to drop it, and either go home fore home time, (lives in san antonio) or continue on another load, and 80% of the time his dispatcher says sure not a problem.

Actually I asked dispatch 2 times not to put me on the load, and he said that was all he had, sometimes they have loads out of dallas that are ok, I've done a ton of 10 and 20 mi loads and got paid mileage plus 30 dollars, and spent. The day with that loadThey said we don't have no one to cover load and nothing better anyway , we need you to stay with loadCrete doesn't have dispatchers anymore, they went to all asset managers, a driver can't talk with dispatch anymore
