    Preach,
Go outside of Roehl for your drives, i got 8 caps at wingfoot for less than 2k and then got a check back for my casings for $400. When it was all said and done about $1500 for all eight.

They don't force you out. Roehl929 got out because they lowered the fuel discount you get at some truck stops. He wasn't making as much as he was before so he left.

Etch when it gets closer to time I will definitely do some heavy shopping. My wife and I decided to do what we need to get by till the truck is ours, then get what we want for tires on the go round after that. Thanks for the heads up about Wingfoot, there's also a local near me called Tommy house that does a lot of truck tire work.

I have noticed that my miles have been improving. Combined with the new pay scale my checks have been a bit healther. Hope the trend continues. Need to catch up a bit before I have to sink into a new set of drives in the spring.

Hey everyone. It's been a while since I've been on the forum. I joined the bandwagon, took the plunge; went into Roehl's i/o program. It's been a week and... hah... I'm tired! Otherwise it's business as usual. I just wanted to come in and say hello.

I've been an o/o with Roehl for over eight years and haven't been too frustrated with them. Up until last year, I did the lease thing. When Dan was in charge, I was able to swap out trucks as they hit 6-700k.
Last year, I bought outside and brought it on... So far this cycle (09/15 - ?) I've logged just over 5k with 1900 on the hook by Friday. So just about 6900 for 14 days out.....
i have to admit to a couple days in there that I only burned 5 hours which is messing with the come-back but over all, not too shabby.

    Cheers!

I keep hearing that he is going to retire. I meet the guy without officially meeting him.

Since he is retiring they kept me with my FM even though I'm leased on now.

A few weeks ago the pay system got screwed up and our settlements were delayed by I think it was a day. As a business owner you have to be prepared for hiccups such as not receiving payment on time. I was fine, but the bank responsible must have realized they were in big trouble. First they were very proactive in offering to take care of any overdraft fees and make things right with any banks, or businesses that may have had payments denied as a result. I was unaffected so there was nothing for me to pursue, hey I believe in the old expression, "To err is human, but to really foul things up takes a computer." Then yesterday I received a $100 MasterCard gift card in the mail as an apology. Every once in a while someone understands that "Sorry" is only a word, what are you going to do to demonstrate that you understand the pain you have caused. In this case I would say the processing bank went above and beyond demonstrating their willingness to make things right. Of course money was a huge motivator, but they chose to take this approach instead of throwing up their hands and saying, "Sorry, computer glitch, not our fault."
