I'M surprised there's been no comments about this. But maybe I've missed them. Or maybe everyone's taking a wait and see attitude.

I am looking to start in October, and am not familiar with it. Could you tell me a bit about it if you dont mind?
Thank you -
The new pay plan will be performance based. The CPM cap will be higher. Right now for flatbed I believe the cap is 46cpm, they will be raising it to 48cpm. All I know is it's actually a good thing because I've been here a year and I'll be getting a raise in October then a raise in November and another one in December. Then January I'll get a raise based on the new pay plan.
The new plan just judges your performance on a quarterly basis. Basically you start out with 5,000 points. If something happens like being late on a load then points will be deducted, if you meet your monthly MPG and all the other things then you gain points. Then at the end of the quarter you will get a review, you will either get a raise or stay the same. If you decrease in productivity as in, lose a lot of points for two quarters in a row then you will get a pay decrease.
I was against it at first but now I'm kind of for it because it means a crappy driver will get crappy pay and a good driver will get the pay increase they deserve.

Personally I don't think I am going to enjoy it. I am just waiting to see what the criteria is going to be to get the raises. Heck I don't ever get a Safety Bonus because I am on 14/7 and my FM can't seem to get me enough miles to meet the mileage criteria. If the criteria is too high then that tells me Roehl doesn't want their Drivers to succeed. If they wanted to give the Drivers a raise they should have just raised eveything up like 2 or 3 cents across the board. Then again this is just my opinion.

I believe they will be raising a lot of the pay, since I get a raise when the new plan goes into effect and then another in January. Plus my safety bonus, I'm not sure what the mileage criteria is for the safety bonus....do you know what it is?

They need to deduct a ton of points from Drivers that leave trailers with bad tires, lights out on them or just plain messed up and didn't report it to maintenance. Then maybe I won't have to get so pissed off when I have to get them repaired after I get them.classic_150 Thanks this.

Mine is 23,500 and yours is 26,500 miles a quarter.

I just listened to the VM about the Accident Free Pay. I should be able to get that since I don't tear up the equipment. Lol!

I agree Ultra, however these incidences need to be reported to FM. I would keep a separate journal on the issues and when it was submitted and a photograph or two. Documentation can save your arse. I'm sure many of you already do this.
Point systems (incentives) have its benefits, as long as it's a reasonable target to be reached. I'm hoping to be part of Rohel sometime in Oct.Ultra7 Thanks this. -
It sounds too good to be true which makes me think if its good or not. Im waiting to see what i think it will benefit them not the driver but i could be wrong. I hope i am
