Ok... I have been looking all over for the answer to some questions regarding areas of the country and how those areas relate to freight. As an example... I consistently hear that getting loads (of any kind) out of Florida is hard and only cheap loads are available. So what about other states?

What about South Carolina or North Carolina, Georgia...

Please chime in regarding your knowledge of any particular state or region and how (and what type) of freight is available.

In particular, because I live in SC, I would love to know what is the best and most available freight in my area as well as surrounding states.

    Thanx!

i'm sure you will a whole lot of good answers. My advice would be see who's at truckstops, maybe hitting the scales. to get an ideas of whats nearby and who's hauling it. Being a fresh face, i assume you will start with a big company and freight is usually plentiful. Happy Trails

Look for a place with lots of trees. Lumber makes flatbed trailers very happy.

Make a grid with I10, I20, I40, I70, and I80 running east to west and 15, I25, I35, I55, I65, I75 and I95 running north and south. If you live within amy of those blocks freight is usually.not a problem.
